Starbucks is a place for enjoying an amazing cup of coffee, and in recent times, a place to chat and hang out with friends.

The line isn’t so long, as it is just around 4:50 p.m. on a muggy Wednesday afternoon.

The working mother with an infant in her arms and a night maintenance worker assuring that he wouldn’t fall asleep on the job waited patiently.

Those that work as baristas at Starbucks have their plates full.

Barista, Andrew, an average college student, is able to remember the numerous drinks and lattes that Starbucks has to offer.

Of the many drinks, the traditional hot cup of coffee is a best seller. Its smell can alone make you joyful.

The outside weather is hinting at the coming October month with the change in the colors of the leaves.

This small shop located on the corner of Bradley Avenue and Victory Boulevard is a very popular location.

“It is much fuller in the morning with the business men and women,” said Andrew.

“But it is difficult to learn all of the drinks, though. It is still a fun and very enjoyable working environment, as you get to make friends.”

Customers continue to come in and order drinks and food at a considerably steady pace for the current economic situation.

Since Starbucks has been competing with Dunkin Donuts for sales and customers, this shop has shown no decline in activity.

People remain in the shop for countless hours, working mindlessly on their computers.

According to Andrew, it has become a trend to see people become Starbucks addicts that stay in the shop for almost the entire day.

“It is actually pretty annoying to see someone buy one drink and then take up a seat for the whole day,” he said. “I have actually seen people with the nerve to walk in with a Dunkin Donuts Drink and just sit down with a computer. Ridiculous.”

A Dunkin Donuts is located just a block away.

Still, this Starbucks is never empty.

A sudden burst in activity and a line of customers begin to form. The blender runs almost non-stop for the next 15 minutes.

It took a coffee pot and a half to satisfy all the waiting customers.

As some of them left, pleased with their purchase, others remained in the shop and began to work and chat with each other.

The two baristas on duty, not including Andrew, began to fool around, attempting to juggle spoons and perform various tricks.

“Don’t add too much sugar to my latte!” a customer said to a friend.

As she said that, the lid fell off the glass sugar container, and the entire contents of the container spilled into the drink and fell onto the counter.
